USC TROJAN BOWL
The USC Trojan Bowl was a permission pool in the south central Los Angeles, California that we rode our skateboards in during the summer of 2002. Our friend was the manager of the apartment complex and he allowed us to ride our skateboards in the empty really wiredly shaped left hand kidney pool with a pinched corner, making the deep end slot less ride-able than it would have been. It was only 7 feet deep and really tight all the way around making skating quite difficult. Everything was in the way, all the pool obstacles were right in front of you at every turn. If you have ever ridding a super compact super tight, but highly skateable little kidney, then you might understand. Pretty fun pool on a beautiful Summer day, thanks Bahram for lining this session up and getting me out there to document it and shred. Had to get some of my patented shallow end board slides in there and some really great feeling grinds on virgin pool coping... nothing beats fresh grinds on virgin pool coping with no spray or wax or anything on it, pure grinds.
